To ensure the eye always looks up, the team painted the ceilings of the common areas with shapes that read like musical chords, their glossy magnolia-white swirls adding a gestural breeze across the spaces.
Deborah Grant, Belle Magazine

Located within an inner-city Art Deco building offering Sydney Harbour views, this heritage apartment was revived with scholarly sophistication.

CREATING MORE SPACE AND SMOOTHER TRANSITIONS BETWEEN ROOMS, WE RAISED DOOR AND CEILING HEIGHTS, TRIMMED OPEN ENTRY POINTS, AND DESIGNED STREAMLINED JOINERY PLUS AN ANGLED DINING BANQUETTE.

Linking rooms, stainless steel and polished aluminium elements add crisp interventions that tread lightly and reflect light.

Patterned textile selections and custom timber detailing weave spaces together, recalling the geometric motifs found on ancient ćilims to reflect one home-owner’s Bosnian/Croatian ancestry.

Like musical chords resonating from the lounge, glossy magnolia white swirls flow across the ceilings of the common areas.
